ノッティングヒルからバスでオックスフォードへ移動。夕方に到着したんで、そこで友人のアレックスに会ってから、彼とイングリッシュ・パブをはしごすることにしました。
Took a bus, called "Tube" to Oxford.  I arrived there in the evening, met friend of mine Alex, and we made the rounds of the English pubs.


一夜開けてオックスフォードの街並みを見学しました。オックスフォードは「夢見る尖塔の都市」と言われ、これは大学の建築が見事に調和していることを表したある詩人による造語です。
It dawned, we walked around the streets.  Oxford is known as the "city of dreaming spires", coined by one poet to express the harmonious architecture of Oxford's university buildings. 


オックスフォードの建物には、この伝統建築ラドクリフ・カメラを含め、あらゆる時代の英国建築の例を見ることができます。
Buildings in Oxford demonstrate an example of every English architectural period including the iconic Radcliffe Camera. 


積石造建築が建ち並ぶ街中には珍しくハーフティンバー工法の木造の建物がありました。情緒があっていいんですが、完全に家が傾いてました。
It's rare to see a half-timbered building in the streets of masonry buildings.  It has a great deal of traditional atmosphere, but this building leans slightly.


大学構内にあるイングリッシュ・ガーデン。人工的に植えられたものでも、自然な感じがするのがいいです。
English garden in the school grounds.  The greenery was artificially planted, but it's very natural.


オックスフォード大学は英語圏の大学の中では最も古い大学です。こんなカッコいい校舎ってあります？自分の大学思い出しましたが、全然ちゃうやん。
The University of Oxford is the oldest university in the English-speaking world.  The school building is really cool!  It reminded my university, totally different!


地元の大学生達のタッチラグビーに参加してきました。楽しかったです。
I joined a touch rugby training with the local students, enjoyed it.

Thanks Alex!  I'll move to Germany before I leave Europe.
