Flowers and Birds

京都市美術館へ、「上村淳之展～作家の眼～」という展示会を見に行って来ました。彼は日本画と呼ばれる、伝統的な日本の慣習、技法、画材によって描かれるものです。
I went to the Kyoto Municipal Museum of Art to see Atsushi Uemura's exhibition. Atsushi Uemura is the artist of "Nihon-ga" painting that have been made in accordance with traditional Japanese artistic conventions, techinics and materials.


彼の祖母と父も偉大な日本画家です。繊細な日本画家の遺伝子が三代に渡って引き継がれてるんですね。
His grand mother and father were also great artists of Japanese style paintings. The sentient artist's gene has been inherited for three generations.


上村淳之氏の自宅側には、彼の父から引き継いだ大きな禽舎があります。鳥を徹底的に観察し、描くためのものでしょう。
Atsushi Uemura owns a big birdhouse taken over it from his father beside his house. This birdhouse could be for thoroughly observing and drawing the birds.


この日本がは細かく繊細な芸術で、日本独特のものだと思います。感動しました！
This "Nihon-ga" is fine and delicate art particular to Japan. I was so impressed!
