どんっ！玄関土間の飛び石のように使ってます。クローバーみたいで可愛い。
How about that? This is the entrance floor and stumps like stepping stones which we often see in the traditional Japanese garden. Shape's like a clover leaf.


先日、信頼する大工棟梁であり、ビジネスパートナーであり、親友のあきらっちの自宅の新築オープンハウスを訪問しました。ごっつい長い縁側でとても気持ちいいです。
Visted my most reliable chief carpenter, business partner and the best friend of mine, Akira-san's "open house". This is the ultra comfortable porch.


和室には数寄屋の茶室に使うような自然そのものの曲がった木を取り入れてます。自然のい草も本当にいい香りがする。
Japanese style room. He uses the natural winding tree as a pillar which is like Sukiya - Japanese traditional tea room style. Tatami mat smells great.


スタディスペースのカウンターは一枚物の木。料亭のカウンター級です。袖壁は木の枝をデザインしたものかな。
The table in the study space is the large one piece of wood. This class is normaly used for luxurious restaurants. Its side wall design could come from tree branches.


吹き抜けに見られるぶっとい梁。こんなんなかなか見れるもんやないですよ。
Huge beam in the living room. Rare to see such a big size.


階段も全部飫肥杉。赤み（樹脂）の多い、耐久性の強い材料です。表情も荒々しい。
The stairs also made of Obi cedar which contains lots of resin and has great durability. The texture is rough and wild.


漆喰は地元田川産業さんの”城かべ”を塗られたそうです。これで木と壁も水分を吸放湿するようになります。
The lime plaster on the wall is produced by TAGAWA SANGYO Co., Ltd., the local company in Fukuoka. So now both walls and wooden parts absorb and desorb moisture.


見学会も大盛況みたいで。友人のニュージーランド人にも見てもらったんですが、感動してました。何か彼女のマオリ族の建築文化にも共通点があったようで、懐かしい気持ちになっていたようです。
It seems that many people came to his open house. I took my Kiwi mate there, and she was so impressed about everything. She felt some similarities between Japanese and Maori architecutural culture that reminded her hometown.

Tachiarai is so peaceful place. The rural scenery makes comfort in this porch doubled better. His new house will be his office and a showroom.
