水の都 City of water
イタリア人の女性、みんなミラ・ジョボビッチに見えます。
I feel every Italian lady looks like Milla Jovovich.
ヴェネツィアは無数の杭の上に乗っている人工島です。しかも、杭はシベリアカラマツだそうで、百年以上も腐ってないのが不思議。どうやってメンテナンスしてるんでしょうか。水路上をボートで移動する光景がよく見られます。しかし、すごい数の観光客です。
Venice was built on countless of Siberian Larch piles. It is a wonder why they haven't been rotten for hundreds of years. I can see lots of boats are the main transportation on this island and too many tourists.
街は路地が多くて迷宮です。でも、こんなアコーディオン弾いてるおっちゃんが似合う街です。写真撮ったらちゃっかり金入れろと。
This town's like a labyrinth. Those accordion players suit to this town. I asked him to take a photo, he clevery took 10 cents from me.
街の中には水路も張り巡らされています。日本で言うところの室町時代～江戸時代時期の建物が多いそうです。
Lots of waterway network connecting this towns. Most of the architectures had been built between Muromachi period and Edo period in Japan.
サン・マルコ広場です。ここは高潮で水没することがあるそうです。
Piazza San Morco. Once this place was under water when spring tide came.
広場にはこれまたレストランがテーブルを並べ、バンドは音楽を奏でています。ロマンチック。恋人たちの街角です。
There are open tables in the square that was illuminated by romantic lights. Lovers square, isn't it？
サン・ジョルジョ・マッジョーレ島が奥に見えます。このゴンドラ、素敵ですけど30分で9000円くらいするんすよ。高！
San Giorgio Maggiore Island with gondras. Gondra's fee is 90 euros for 30 min. Too expansive! Some other time.
ヴェネツィアの夜が更けます。安藤忠雄氏設計のプンタ・デラ・ドガーナ現代美術館です。世界をまたにかける建築家、カッコいいっすね。
